With required courses offered online and in evenings, along with practicum and internship opportunities and elective courses, this CACREP accredited program offers students and full-time professionals the flexibility to participate in the master's program. This innovative class format creates an exciting blend of students working closely with faculty to explore the various opportunities in the field of rehabilitation. 

Master's Program Ranked by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report ranked the Master’s Program in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado 27th in the country. The Master's Program in Rehabilitation Counseling prepares professional counselors who become certified upon completing the two-year program. Employment of rehabilitation counselors is projected to grow 20 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations, with the rehabilitation needs of groups such as veterans and people with disabilities. UNC's rehabilitation counselors have historically been avidly recruited regionally and nationally.


US Department of Ed Awards $958,778 Grant for UNC Rehabilitation Counseling Program

University of Northern Colorado Associate Professor Jill Bezyak received a five-year, $938,705 grant from the US Department of Education to increase the number of qualified vocational rehabilitation counselors who serve individuals with disabilities.
